Rollstone Studios

Helen Obermeyer Simmons is the Director of Exhibits for Rollstone Studios and one of the founding artists. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Art and Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, Helen has served as Professor and Director of the Graphic Design Program at Fitchburg State College for 28 years.

Helen’s artwork includes hand painted monoprints of various non-silver photographic techniques including cyanotype and Van Dyke Brown processes. Her work moves in various directions of 2D and 3D pieces. Much of Helen’s artwork is based on her extensive research into her family genealogy. She has exhibited in numerous gallery’s and her current accomplishments includes the Echo of the Maritimes exhibit in June of 2007, and the Gifts of the Sea exhibition slated for opening in April, 2009.
