Reverend BLAMO
Robert Lamoureux became BLAMO when, as a child, he realized his name was too long to sign to his hand-drawn comic books. The title of Reverend was added to his moniker during a trip to California to photograph Humboldt County’s marijuana farmers.
Reverend BLAMO was introduced to the camera in college, where he was required to photograph his artwork. He soon became proficient with his first camera, a Pentax K10. News photography came along literally by accident when he started documenting the work of his father’s ambulance company. Soon after Reverend BLAMO became a freelance news photographer. His photos have been published in the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise, the Worcester Telegram, the Gardner News, the Laconia Citizen, and Metro West Daily News. His work has also been used on CDs, posters, and extensively on the internet promoting rock bands, motorsports and local events.
Today, Reverend BLAMO operates BLAMO’s Omniscient Photography, named so because of varied ability to shoot almost anything: weddings, motor sports, portraits, news, rock bands, or wildlife.
